When Janet Carter's elderly father falls ill, she ventures further into the ominous Carterhaugh Forest than she ever has before. But before she can reach the medicine woman who lives in the heart of the woods, she has a chance encounter with Tam Lin, an undead spirit cursed to stalk Carterhaugh for all eternity. And Tam Lin doesn't receive visitors very often.
