Greece-Ancient Athens, to be precise: Motherland of modern medicine. Originators of the Olympics. They provided our forefathers with a template for a democratic society and bestowed art and architecture of unequaled elegance to the world. But tonight, our cast of characters gather to celebrate a different cultural achievement, without which this show would not be possible: the theatre. Yet tonight's episode is neither tragedy nor comedy, but a murder mystery: a Socratic whodunnit? set amongst the ribald revelry of a symposium celebrating playwright Anarchimedes's triumph of tragic drama. But when conversation turns from the dewy allure of a chin not yet ravaged by the beard of pubescence to the sudden deaths of party guests, philosopher Pantaleon takes the lead in cracking the case. And you, too, listeners, can play detective alongside him in this week's edition of THE SPECTRAL CITADEL.
